Project Overview
Geological Prospectivity
The project targets the undrilled contact zone between the brittle Mt Norma Quartzite and the Toole Creek Volcanics. This contact setting is considered highly prospective for ISCG (Iron Sulphide Copper-Gold) deposits, similar in style to the nearby Jericho deposit (ASX:A1M).
Cover and Exploration Strategy
The prospective basement rocks lie beneath a shallow cover sequence of approximately 50 to 200 metres. While undercover, this provides an opportunity for modern exploration methods to unlock previously untested mineral potential.
To advance the project, Cooper will deploy electromagnetic (EM) surveys to map conductive targets that may represent sulphide-rich ISCG mineralisation. High-priority targets identified from the EM data will be followed up with a systematic drill testing program.
Key Highlights
- Located in the world-class Cloncurry mineral province
- Untested structural contact zone between key rock units
- Cover depth of ~50–200m, ideal for modern exploration techniques
- Exploration strategy: EM surveys followed by targeted drilling
The Oorindi Project represents an exciting opportunity to uncover new copper-gold discoveries in a proven mineral belt.
